A tooth is here!

Two year molars...

One of them is just poking up its little pointy head. He made some goofy face last Thursday and I noticed a spot of white. When finally convinced to let me probe, sure enough it was a tooth.

Now all that night waking, chewing, and drooling make sense.

Hmmm, three more and then I get a break from teething. Well, at least until this next baby turns 4 months old, then the process will start all over again!

1/2 week update

On Saturday we all attended a very lovely birthday party for my friend’s son. The “little chef” theme was absolutely adorable (and worth stealing, so keep that in mind come October).

On Sunday we had a mostly leisurely day with very little going on at all. Sometimes you need those types of days.

Yesterday Roni and I went to a MOM’S club meeting. He had a blast playing in the church nursery where we hold the meetings. He’s getting so funny about play situations. Currently he’s pretty good about sharing, so he’s pleasant to have around other children.

Last night we went to Lowe’s and picked up our new cork flooring for our kitchen. This weekend, hopefully, we will get it all installed.

Today, Roni and I went with some friends down to the Children’s Museum in Detroit. It was small, but he seemed to really enjoy it. As a matter of fact, he’s taking a 2+ hour nap. So I guess he really wore himself out there.

Tonight I have my fellowship group, which I always enjoy.

Not sure what the rest of the week will bring. I’m feeling almost 100%, so we’re up for anything!

We are back in the swing of things around here. I’m feeling much better these last few weeks and am mostly caught up from all our travels.

Nico applied for a teaching position back in Pittsburg, KS and we are hopeful for such a wonderful opportunity. Although Nico loves his job working as a technical writer, this would put us closer to family and me back on track to a much desired career in higher education. We are keeping fingers crossed, but if it doesn’t pan out, then that’s fine too because we are happy here in Michigan. Either way, it will probably be a few weeks before we hear anything back.

Ronin and I have been attending a parent-tot class at a home-based Waldorf preschool. So far, the man seems to love it. Although I’m worried that he might be working on the dreaded two-year molars. Suddenly we’ve got sleeping issues again (not nursing related) and the hands are constantly in the mouth. Any advice from those who have lived through two-year molars???
