Buying a house in winter is always a challenge. Since we tend to buy houses that need *ahem*
some work, we never know what we'll find when we begin to clean it up. My current example is that under a couple years worth of fallen leaves, we found some sort of ancient concrete footer. It apparently runs the entire lenght of our back yard. We have no idea what it was for, but it appears to be a property line of some sort. This made a bit of a challenge for N to put in new chain link posts.
