Easter Egg Hunt - last Saturday

Last Saturday we went to the Royal Oak MOMS Club Easter Egg Hunt. We got some video, but no still pictures. My friend Deb caught this one of Roni. It was a beautiful day, but a little cold.

I've taken some pictures of the kitchen and other things lately. I'll post them as soon as I upload from the camera. Where do my days go?

Nico's Birthday

Happy Belated Birthday to Nico. It was Friday and we celebrated by ordering pizza. Woohoo. Dang we're getting old.

This week is flying by. Sunday night we finally finished our taxes. It took several hours, but both Fed and State are completed.

Nico had his art class on Monday. I think his first sculpture is finished (looks finished to me), but you know how much of a perfectionist he is. Roni and went to the library in the morning and then we hung out with baby Julien in the afternoon.

On Tuesday Nico swapped tires on Roxanne. He also ordered some new wheels for my ride. I'm still rockin' my snow tires, so we gotta get my regular tires on some different wheels. At least that's the way it was explained to me. :)

Roni and I made the big venture to Ikea for some additional kitchen items, yesterday. Unfortunately, we’ll have to go back. We missed an item off of our list and some drawer dampers are majorly backordered.

Today we've already been to the vet for Bella's annual check-up and we've played outside. It's currently nap time and I've got to make my volunteer calls. More later! And pictures soon, I promise!

Such a beautiful week. The weather was fantastic. Upper 60’s each day made for much outdoor time. We even had a trip to the Zoo Thursday with our friends Emily and Etta. On Friday, my friend Sara fixed us a super picnic in her backyard. Too bad Roni only ate sand out of the sandbox.

Yesterday we scored a cool “Bucky Bronco” type bouncy horse… just like the one I had growing up. It was marked “FREE” at our neighbor’s curb. We helped ourselves. I’ll get pictures for the Masoner clan, right after I snap a few of the new kitchen.

Nico had a great first week. He seems really excited about the new job and the types of things he'll be doing there. He'll be working on the parts and maintenance manuals for military vehicles. Good experience and he's learning new software. He's also fixing his own lunch everyday, can't complain about that.

We're still working on project "fatten up the kid" with what seems like little success. He is sleeping better lately. We've gotten a little more rigorous with his bedtime.

Today, I had my Beaumont Volunteer Appreciation day. I had free Reiki, massage, yoga... I'm feeling pretty good and am ready to head to bed.

Tomorrow Roni and I will decorate for Easter.

Now I've got to get back to crafting after a long hiatus.

Nico started his new job today!

Ronin is feeling under-the-weather. Another round of temps and what appears to be teething. They might be connected, but I won’t know until later. Right now we are taking it easy and staying away from other children for a while.

On a happier note, today was BEAUTIFUL and the next couple of days are supposed to be as well. Maybe we just need more fresh air!

What a week!

What a strange and interesting week we’ve had. Nonna came for a visit. We picked her up at the airport on Saturday.

On Sunday we went to church, without the boys.

On Monday, Nico was offered and accepted a position with the company he interviewed with a few weeks earlier. This job offer prompted him and Nonna to put the kitchen remodel into high gear. Roni and I hung out with baby Julien, like we normally do on Mondays. Nonna made us a fabulous dinner and Roni ate a ton!!!

On Tuesday they went to Architectural Salvage (which we kept accidentally calling “Architectural Digest”). Roni and I hung out with some friends as Architectural Salvage isn’t particularly baby friendly.

On Wednesday, we battoned down the hatches and hit the kitchen full-force. Nico mostly, Nonna and I worked on basement organization.

Thursday morning, Roni and I went to my Beaumont group to get out of Nico’s way. Thursday afternoon we hung out with baby Julien.

Friday morning Nonna, Roni and I went to the Henry Ford Museum. Roni wasn’t acting quite like himself and by lunchtime he was vomiting. He had a nasty, nasty stomach virus that simply cleaned him out. I was afraid he was going to get dehydrated because he couldn’t even keep small amounts of water down.

Today Roni didn’t eat, but he seemed much better. I think that on top of the stomach virus, he’s working on the next round of teeth. Two-year molars are my nightmare. We took Nonna back to the airport. My kitchen is no where near finished, but it’s in working order again. Including my wonderful new dishwasher!!! I’m ecstatic to have a dishwasher again.

Nico starts his new job on Monday. I’ll have more details then.
